Unpopular opinion: Orgasm Nars

Orgasm is cute, yes... but what really made him famous was the hype, not the result. In me it is super soft, almost imperceptible, but like brightness, but I have a trick to make it more peachy pink and that pigmente, a liquid blush first and then the orgasm blush. I have no problems with duration, it lasts a lot, but the hype is not worth so much.

... Read moreOkay, so let's talk about the NARS Orgasm blush. It’s practically legendary in the beauty world, right? Everyone raves about its iconic status and that universally flattering shade. But if you’re anything like me, you might have found yourself wondering, 'Is it really that amazing for my skin tone?' My first few tries with the NARS Orgasm blush compact left me a little underwhelmed. I was expecting a vibrant pop of color, something that would truly stand out, especially with all the buzz surrounding its 'orgasm color' – that unique peach pink with a golden shimmer. Instead, on my skin, which tends to be a bit warmer, it came across as an almost imperceptible wash of color, more like a subtle brightness than a true blush. It definitely has that beautiful peach-pink tone with a delicate golden shimmer, which is gorgeous in the open compact, but I struggled to get that strong pigmentation everyone talks about, especially for a natural glow on cheeks. That's where my little secret comes in, and it's been a game-changer for me! If you've also felt that the NARS Orgasm blush lacks that punch you're looking for, or if you simply want to maximize its impact, try this: before applying your powder blush, reach for a liquid blush in a similar peachy or rosy shade. I usually go for a lightweight, buildable liquid formula – something that blends seamlessly without getting patchy. A tiny dot or two on the apples of your cheeks, blended out gently with your fingers or a damp makeup sponge, creates the perfect base layer. This not only gives the NARS Orgasm blush something to adhere to but also significantly intensifies its color, allowing that beautiful peach pink gold shimmer to truly shine. Once that liquid blush is set and somewhat dry, then I go in with my NARS powder blush compact. I use a fluffy blush brush and tap off any excess before gently sweeping it over the areas where I applied the liquid blush. The difference is incredible! What was once a soft, barely-there flush transforms into a much more pigmented, vibrant peachy pink. The golden shimmer catches the light beautifully, giving that coveted natural glow without looking overly glittery. It truly enhances the 'orgasm color' everyone searches for, making it visible and radiant. This layering technique ensures that the blush doesn't just sit on top of your skin but truly melts in, providing a long-lasting, radiant finish that looks like it's coming from within. I've heard others mention how the NARS orgasm blush swatch on their arm looks so vibrant, but it's harder to get that on the face – this trick solves that! I’ve tested this trick multiple times, and it consistently delivers. Not only does it boost the color intensity, but I've also noticed it significantly improves the wear time. My blush stays put from morning till evening, even on warmer days, which is a huge plus. So, if you own the NARS Orgasm blush and feel it's not living up to its hype, or if you're looking for ways to make that peach pink shimmer pop more, don't give up on it! Give this liquid blush layering method a shot. It really helps bring out that stunning peach pink gold shimmer and gives you the natural, radiant flush you've always wanted from this iconic compact. It’s transformed my opinion, making it a staple in my makeup routine, especially for achieving that perfect summer glow or just a vibrant everyday look. You'll finally see why this NARS blush compact is so beloved!
