The Stunt by C.L Rose (Sports Romance Novella)

This was a cute read and full of spice. The premise of this novella kinda gave loose Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce vibes. Main issue was with how instant the instant love was in this, I wish they had been able to get through their first meet up or at least in the middle of it. I am curious about the rest of the series now and need to go back and read it.

When reading 'The Stunt' by C.L. Rose, I found the blend of sports and romance intriguingly refreshing, especially given the novella’s fast-paced storyline. The trope of fake dating combined with the star-crossed element of a football player and popstar really adds layers of appeal for fans of celebrity romance. From personal experience, instant love can be a tricky plot device to pull off convincingly, and while it felt a bit rushed here, it did create an exciting chemistry that kept me engaged. One thing I appreciated was the praise kink element, which was subtly woven into the characters’ interactions, giving the romance an extra dimension that’s not often explored in sports romance. The novella’s length at about 150 pages meant it was a quick, enjoyable read, perfect for those who want a sweet and spicy story without a huge time commitment. Interestingly, the parallels to real-life celebrity couples like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made the story feel more relatable and vivid, as if it were a fictional glimpse into a tabloid-worthy romance. This connection might appeal to readers who enjoy stories inspired by true celebrity dynamics. If you enjoy sports romance with a bit of heat and a touch of fantasy, I’d recommend giving this novella a try. It left me curious about the rest of the Boston Blizzard series and motivated me to continue exploring C.L. Rose’s work.
