Unpopular Opinion: Girl’s Girl
As I've grown in Christ, l've realized I don't fit into this new "girl's girl" label-and that's perfectly okay. I'd rather be a woman whose spirit is genuine and guided by Jesus.
I support and love other women sincerely, but l won't force connections or compromise truth just to wear a title. My standard isn't popularity-it's authenticity rooted in Christ.
The phrase "girl's girl" gets used a lot, but often the support behind it isn't genuine. At times it feels selective, competitive, or even performative.
If we connect, that's a blessing. If not, that's fine too. I won't be rude or fake—l'll just remain honest.
What I've noticed is how quickly people turn when a woman speaks truth. One moment she's celebrated as a "girl's girl," and the next she's criticized for not going along with the crowd.
