In my own experience photographing urban life, I've found that the charm often lies in what we initially perceive as imperfections. An unexpectedly blurred street sign, a shadow cast by passersby, or even a bus-only lane sign like "Robert st SON EASE RIGHT LANE BUSES ONLY" can tell a deeper story about the city's daily rhythm. Rather than aiming for perfectly composed shots, I started to appreciate moments where spontaneity and slight errors brought genuine emotion. These fragments of city life serve as reminders that our connection with a place isn't about flawless images but about being present and witnessing its pulse. One time, while trying to capture the busy streets, I ended up photographing myself in reflection through a shop window, which felt oddly truthful. It made me realize that every city photo is part of a dialogue between the environment and the photographer. The imperfections are evidence of this interaction. This aligns with the idea that between error and moment, there is a raw honesty that no polished image can replicate.
