Toasted marshmallows blondie✨
Definitely need to try☕️
I used to spend a small fortune on fancy coffee shop drinks, especially when my craving for a toasted marshmallow iced coffee hit. But honestly, who has the budget for that every day? That’s why I set out to perfect my own at-home version, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer! Not only do I save money, but I can customize it exactly to my liking. One of the biggest questions I get is about the 'toasted marshmallow creamer.' Sometimes it's hard to find specific brands, or maybe you just want to make your own. If you're lucky enough to find a pre-made toasted marshmallow coffee creamer, that's a fantastic shortcut! Just add it directly to your espresso and ice, and you're halfway there. Brands like International Delight or Coffee Mate sometimes have seasonal flavors that are perfect. But what if you can't find a dedicated toasted marshmallow creamer? Don't worry, you can easily create the flavor profile yourself! My secret involves using a good quality toasted marshmallow syrup (the kind often used for cocktails or other desserts) and combining it with regular coffee creamer or even just heavy whipping cream and a touch of almond milk. This allows you to control the intensity of the marshmallow flavor and the sweetness. Here’s how I build my perfect toasted marshmallow iced coffee: The Coffee Base: I always start with a freshly brewed shot (or two!) of espresso. I use ground espresso beans in my machine for the best flavor. If you don't have an espresso machine, a strong cold brew concentrate or even very strong brewed coffee chilled will work wonders. Sweetening and Flavoring: This is where the toasted marshmallow magic happens. I add my toasted marshmallow syrup directly to the glass with the espresso, along with a splash of vanilla syrup for extra depth. If I’m making a 'creamer' base, I’ll stir in some heavy whipping cream and almond milk here too, adjusting to my desired creaminess and sweetness. A little caramel sauce swirled in before adding ice also adds a beautiful visual and flavor. Ice, Ice Baby: Fill your cup with plenty of ice. This helps chill the drink quickly and provides that satisfying iced coffee experience. The Star – Cold Foam: This is non-negotiable for me! To make the luxurious cold foam, I combine cold heavy whipping cream with a small amount of toasted marshmallow syrup and a tiny splash of creamer (or milk) in a handheld frother or a small blender. Whip it until it's light and airy, but not fully stiff. It should be pourable yet thick. The OCR images really show how amazing this cold foam looks as it's poured over the coffee! Assembly: Pour your coffee mixture over the ice, then gently spoon or pour the toasted marshmallow cold foam on top. Finish with a generous drizzle of caramel sauce. You can even add a tiny, actual toasted marshmallow on top for an extra treat! This method not only satisfies my craving for toasted marshmallow creamer-infused coffee but also elevates it to a truly gourmet experience right in my kitchen. It's surprisingly simple once you get the hang of it, and your taste buds (and wallet!) will thank you!
