私が行く前に気になったのが「荻外荘展示棟カフェのメニューってどんな感じ？」「いつオープンしたの？」「展示棟ってどこ？」の3つでした。実際に現地での動き方も含めて、これから行く人向けに補足します。 まず、荻外荘展示棟カフェは“荻外荘の向かい側にある展示棟（休憩所カフェスペース）”という位置づけで、赤い文字の看板が目立つモダンな外観でした。館内見学の前後に寄りやすく、歩き疲れたタイミングで一息つけるのが便利。私は見学後に寄りましたが、先にカフェで軽く休んでから荻外荘へ、という回り方もアリだと思います。 営業日・営業時間については注意点があって、基本は荻外荘の開館日に準じます。つまり水曜休みや年末年始（12/29〜1/1）など、荻外荘側が休みの日はカフェも期待しすぎない方が安全です。さらに展示替えの時期は展示棟自体が見学できない期間があるそうなので、「今日はカフェだけでも…」と行く場合こそ、事前に公式情報の確認がおすすめです。 次に、検索でも多い「荻外荘 カフェ メニュー」について。私が感じたのは“観光地の中のカフェ”というより“見学者の休憩にちょうどいいカフェ”という雰囲気。入口にメニュー看板が出ていて、並ぶ前に内容を把握しやすいのが助かりました。混雑していると席探しが先になるので、先にメニューを見てから入るとスムーズです。写真を撮る人も多いので、店内では周りの動線を少し意識すると過ごしやすいです。 荻外荘（旧近衛文麿邸）自体は、歴史的な室内の雰囲気が良く、赤いソファや丸テーブルのある空間も印象的でした。敷地内は緑が多く、秋は紅葉が特にきれい。庭園っぽい景色を見ながら散策できるので、カフェ滞在＋散歩の組み合わせがいちばん満足度が高かったです。 最後にマンホールカード狙いの方へ。荻外荘で配布されていた「なみすけ×荻外荘」のマンホールカードは人気で、2026年1月23日時点では配布休止中との案内が出ていました。現地で落胆しないよう、配布再開の情報は杉並区のホームページで最新状況をチェックしてから行くのが安心です。
