People often adorn their homes with peach blossoms in the north or yellow apricot flowers in the south, which are emblematic of prosperity and happiness. The preparation also extends to the culinary front. Families come together to cook special dishes like bánh chưng or bánh tét—sticky rice cakes filled with meat and beans—representing the earth and sky's harmony.
