Ellen Joe from ZZZ explains the sea turtle’s diet. #zzz #zenlesszonezero #zzzero #hoyocreators #fyp
Sea turtles have a diverse diet that varies by species, but one common factor is their need for protein to thrive. From my personal experience observing sea turtles during coastal conservation efforts, I've noticed that many species feed on jellyfish, crustaceans, and even small fish, all excellent sources of protein. This protein intake is crucial for their growth, shell development, and energy. Interestingly, sea turtles play an essential role in marine ecosystems by maintaining the balance of seagrass beds and coral reefs through their feeding habits. For example, green sea turtles primarily consume seagrass and algae, helping keep these underwater meadows healthy. In contrast, loggerhead turtles prefer crabs and mollusks, which are high in protein. If you’re interested in supporting sea turtle conservation, understanding their diet is key. Avoiding pollution and protecting their feeding grounds ensures they continue to have access to the protein sources essential for survival. Through awareness and responsible actions, we can help protect these magnificent creatures and maintain the balance of our oceans.
