Out of Africa Wildlife Park

@outofafricapark had all of saying “wow” over and over again. It was incredible to get within a few feet of huge predators like lions and tigers. The safari was also great getting to see the herd animals. We easily spent most of the day here!

(Not sponsored, we just had a great time!)

Out of Africa Wildlife Park
2025/1/22 Edited to

... Read moreAfter our amazing trip to Out of Africa Wildlife Park, I just had to share more of our experience, especially for anyone planning a visit! This place truly is a gem in Arizona, and as the OCR mentioned, if you're anywhere near Cottonwood or Sedona, it's absolutely worth the trip. Our whole family enjoyed it immensely, and we easily spent the better part of a day exploring everything. One of the biggest draws, and what makes it so special, is the opportunity to get incredibly up close with the animals. It’s not your typical zoo experience where you’re viewing from afar. We were literally just a chain-link fence away from magnificent lions and tigers during one of their predator shows, and let me tell you, hearing them roar so close is an unforgettable thrill! Beyond the big cats, the park is home to so many incredible creatures. On the African Bush Safari, we saw herds of giraffes and zebras roaming freely, and spotting them from the open-air vehicle felt like being on an actual safari in Africa. To truly make the most of your visit to Out of Africa Wildlife Park, I have a few tips. First, plan to arrive early, especially during peak season or on weekends. This gives you ample time to catch all the shows and safaris without feeling rushed. Check their website for daily show schedules beforehand – the "Tiger Splash" and "Predator Feeding" shows are absolute must-sees if you want to witness those incredible up-close animal encounters. These are where you feel the raw power and beauty of these animals most acutely. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring plenty of water, as you'll be doing a lot of walking, and Arizona sun can be intense. Hats and sunscreen are also highly recommended. While there are food options available, packing some snacks can be a good idea, especially if you have kids. Don't forget your camera, because you'll want to capture every 'wow!' moment, from the majestic lions and tigers to the graceful giraffes and zebras. Binoculars can also enhance your safari experience, allowing you to get an even better look at the animals in the larger enclosures. What makes this park stand out is its emphasis on natural habitats and educational experiences. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, often sharing fascinating facts about the animals and their conservation efforts. It's more than just seeing animals; it's about connecting with them and understanding their world. For a family looking for adventure and a truly unique wildlife experience, Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Cottonwood, Arizona delivers on all fronts. It’s a place that fosters a deep appreciation for wildlife and creates lasting memories. We left feeling inspired and already planning our next visit!
