New York City, it’s raining

Wishing everyone a happy new year and God bless everyone enjoy the holiday

... Read moreHappy New Year, Lemon8 fam! ✨ As the first days of the new year unfold, I wanted to share a little piece of my heart from a rather rainy New York City. You know, sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, but there's a unique kind of beauty in an overcast, drizzly day in the Big Apple, especially when you're reflecting on the blessings of the past year and setting intentions for the new one. I've been leaning into my #FaithFitNYC journey lately, which for me, is all about nurturing my spirit, mind, and body, no matter the circumstances. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, but these quiet, rainy moments in the city really make you pause. Just yesterday, I was out for a walk, bundled up in my black beanie and a warm winter jacket, trying to grab a selfie with those iconic tall buildings blurred by the misty air. Even with my face mask pulled down for a quick pic, the energy of NYC was palpable, yet softened by the rain. It was a moment of pure gratitude, reminding me of all the good things. For me, 'FaithFit' isn't just about physical fitness; it’s about spiritual resilience and mental clarity. It’s about having faith in the process, faith in yourself, and finding that inner strength to push forward. The 'NYC' part? Well, that's my incredible backdrop, a constant source of inspiration and challenge. The rain often symbolizes new beginnings or a cleansing, and I’m taking that metaphor to heart this year. It's a fresh start, washing away the old and making way for new growth, despite the grey skies. Navigating New York, especially during winter holidays, requires a certain kind of 'fit' – both physical, to brave the elements, and mental, to stay grounded amidst the vibrant chaos. My routine often involves finding serene spots, even if it's just a quiet corner in a park or a less-crowded street, to reflect. It's about finding that balance between the city's demanding pace and personal well-being. Even a simple walk, observing the life around me, can be a form of meditation. These are the moments where my 'faith' truly feels strengthened – believing in the journey, trusting in blessings, and knowing that every day holds potential, rain or shine. During this holiday period, it’s so important to connect with what truly matters. Whether it's a quiet moment alone, a call with loved ones, or simply appreciating your surroundings, finding those small joys can make all the difference. Even if your New Year isn't starting with sunshine, remember there's beauty in every season. This year, I'm focusing on consistency in my wellness routine, spending more time in nature (even urban nature!), and deepening my faith through mindful practices. It's about building a foundation that helps me thrive, no matter what New York throws my way. What does #FaithFitNYC mean to you? Or what intentions are you setting for your own journey this year? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Let's make this year one filled with blessings, growth, and unwavering spirit!
