Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation ✨
My go-to foundation for a couple years now. I have combination skin; very oily t-zone & chin & dry cheeks. My skin can be a bit sensitivity at times but for the most part I don’t struggle with acne nor texture.
This foundation works wonders for me specifically with how long it lasts on my skin without breaking up or looking cakey ( literally hours). I’ve noticed that oddly enough the longer it’s on my skin the better it settles in and it looks seemless.
I’ve tried many foundations high end and drugstore, this one just seems to be the best for me personally. If you struggle with it maybe try different application techniques. I also recommend getting the pump from Estée Lauder. I tried the amazon dupe and it was a mess (it kept untwisting and causing my foundations to spill).
It's so true, Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation really is a game-changer for so many of us, especially when you're looking for that all-day wear without the worry! I totally agree with the original post – this foundation's ability to stay put and look even better as the day goes on is just incredible. And speaking of the iconic glass bottle, it's instantly recognizable on any vanity, isn't it? It truly feels like a premium product. However, as the original poster mentioned, getting the official pump is a must-have accessory. Trust me, investing in the actual Estée Lauder pump makes all the difference for a mess-free, controlled application. Those dupes can be more trouble than they're worth, leading to spills and wasted product! One thing many of us struggle with, and which is super important when choosing any foundation, is finding that perfect shade. With so many options like Alabaster (0N1), Pure Beige, Bone, and Natural Suede (2W1.5), it can feel a bit overwhelming! Estée Lauder has a fantastic system to help you out. The numbers indicate the depth of the shade (the lower the number, the lighter the shade), and the letter tells you the undertone: 'C' for cool (pink or rosy tones), 'W' for warm (golden or peachy tones), and 'N' for neutral (balanced tones). For example, 2N1 is a neutral shade with a light-medium depth, while 2W1 means it has warm undertones at a similar depth. If you're debating between shades like 2N1 and 2N2, it often comes down to a very subtle difference in depth – 2N2 would be just a hair deeper. My best advice for finding your exact match? Always try to swatch a few close shades on your jawline in natural light. Many beauty counters offer samples, which is a lifesaver for testing how it wears and oxidizes on your unique skin. Don't be afraid to ask for help from a consultant – they're experts at this! And for those of us who love to travel light, or just want to test it out before committing to the full-size glass bottle, did you know Estée Lauder Double Wear often comes in mini foundation sizes? These mini versions are absolutely brilliant for tossing into your purse for touch-ups (though you probably won't need many!), for weekend getaways, or even just to try a new shade without buying the full bottle. They're usually available at beauty retailers or sometimes as part of gift sets. It's a great way to experience the magic without the upfront commitment. Finally, while the original post briefly touched on application techniques, I've found that how you apply this foundation can totally change the finish. For me, a damp beauty sponge or a dense buffing brush works wonders to achieve that seamless, non-cakey look. Start with a small amount and build it up where you need more coverage. For that super long-lasting effect, prepping your skin with a good primer can make a huge difference, especially if you have an oily T-zone like me. And don't forget to set it lightly with powder in your oily areas. Experimenting really is key to unlocking the full potential of this amazing foundation!
