Chicken or Banana?
I think she looks better as a banana. What do you think?
Okay, fellow pet parents and #dogsoflemon8 enthusiasts, I have to share the funniest little experiment I did with my sweet pup! You know how sometimes you just get a silly idea in your head that you have to try? Well, mine involved a chicken vs banana showdown for my dog's wardrobe! It all started when I stumbled upon some adorable pet costumes online. I saw a fluffy Chicken outfit and then, almost immediately after, a vibrant Banana peel costume. My brain just went, 'Why not both?' I couldn't resist seeing my little furball transform into these two iconic, yet completely different, forms. First up was the Chicken! Getting her into it was a whole ordeal, but totally worth the laughs. She looked like a little fluffy farm escapee, all white and round. Her tail kept wagging, making the Chicken feathers bounce, which was just hysterical. She had this look on her face, like 'Mom, what have you done to me?' but she was such a good sport. We did a mini photoshoot, and honestly, she rocked the Chicken look. It was surprisingly cute and definitely made me smile. The way her little head popped out from the feathery collar was priceless. Then came the Banana! This one was even more of a hoot. The bright yellow and the way it wrapped around her was just too much. She looked like a walking, happy Banana! The contrast between the fluffy Chicken and the sleek, silly Banana was incredible. In the Banana costume, she seemed to have a little extra bounce in her step, almost like she knew she was serving a look. I've heard of chicken and banana as a strange combo, but seeing my dog embody both was a whole new level of quirky charm. The photos from this session were pure gold, especially the ones where she’s doing her little happy dance. So, after seeing both transformations, the big question was: Chicken or Banana? For me, there's just something about her in the Banana outfit that captures her personality perfectly. Maybe it's the bright color against her fur, or just how inherently silly a Banana costume is on a dog. While the Chicken was undeniably cute and fluffy, the Banana just had that extra spark of comedic genius. What do you all think? Do you have a favorite from the pictures? I'm genuinely curious to see if you agree with my Banana bias! If you’re thinking of doing a fun costume photoshoot with your dog or any pet, here are a few things I learned. Always prioritize their comfort and safety. Make sure the costume isn't too tight, doesn't restrict movement, or have small parts they could chew off. Introduce the costume slowly with treats and positive reinforcement. Not every dog loves dressing up, and that's perfectly fine! But for those who don't mind, it can be a really fun way to bond and create hilarious memories. Thinking about other food-themed costumes now... maybe a hot dog? Or a taco? The possibilities are endless! Have you ever dressed up your pet in something unusual? Share your stories and pics below! I love seeing all the creative ways we celebrate our furry friends. It's all part of the #dailydairychallange of pet ownership, right?
