💔🐾 Help Us Save This Sweet Girl’s Life 🐾💔

This beautiful young dog didn’t ask for the circumstances she was born into — but she is now fighting for her life because of them.

She was being dog-sat by a family member when she suddenly began vomiting and having severe diarrhea. By the second day, she was still extremely ill, so she was rushed to the Wilson emergency veterinarian Hospital in Washington, Mi. The owner declined any test so my family member paid for a parvo test out of her own pocket and she tested positive for Parvo. According to the Vet office the owners are banned from bringing dogs to them.

When the owners were notified, they refused treatment and stated they were on vacation. They told our family member to put her back in a crate at their home and “they would deal with it when they returned days later” — expecting this sick dog to sit alone, unfed, and untreated. When treatment was discussed, they declined to help financially and instead said she should be put down, despite the vet explaining she had a very high chance of recovery with early care.

We could not allow that to happen.

Very early in the morning, our son Avery and his girlfriend met our family member at Wilson Veterinary Hospital so they could help Jack and I get this sweet girl’s treatment started immediately. When we met her just three days ago, Jack absolutely fell in love with her and said that if the owners didn’t return for her, we would take her in — especially given the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding why she was dropped off in the first place.

We stepped in, took responsibility, and began treatment immediately. She is now hospitalized and receiving care, and the veterinary team believes that because treatment started early and because of her age, she has a real chance to recover.

Unfortunately, Parvo treatment is extremely expensive, and we are now fully responsible for the cost. We have already paid for testing and emergency care, and the hospitalization bills continue to grow daily.

This dog was never vaccinated, and with what we’ve since learned, it appears she came from a situation of neglect and abuse. Despite everything, she is gentle, loving, and fighting hard — and we are fighting right alongside her.
