Things I Learned Leaving Michigan For A Week

I ventured out to Mexico and it gave a well-needed break from cloudy and cold Michigan winter days. I love Michigan, but come January you are ready to see living plants and the sun again.

We specifically went to Puerto Vallarta which has so much beauty and perfect vacation vibes. Whenever I leave Michigan, I always end up missing some things and wanting to bring home some others (like the 70 degree higher temp).

In Michigan, many residents often experience a lack of sunlight due to prolonged gray days, leading to feelings of lethargy and decreased mood. Vitamin D, often referred to as the "sunshine vitamin," is crucial during winter months, and it can be beneficial to incorporate supplements when sun exposure is limited. The refreshing change in scenery and climate not only revitalizes the body but also allows minds to relax and recharge. Additionally, the cultural experiences, from exploring local cuisine to engaging with welcoming locals, can enrich travelers’ appreciation for their roots while embracing the beauty of new places. Such experiences remind us of the importance of balance; loving your home state of Michigan while appreciating the warmth and vibrancy of places like Mexico can lead to a richer, more fulfilled life. As we reconnect with the joys of travel, we also bring back memories and insights that can positively influence our daily lives.
