Starting my day early allows me to carve out quiet moments for myself before the household wakes up. This early morning quiet time helps me focus on a quick workout, which energizes me for the busy day ahead. Over the past week, specifically day 8 of this new routine, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my energy levels and mood throughout the day. Changing my wake-up time from 9:45 PM bedtime to match the 4:45 AM rise has helped regulate my sleep cycle better, despite the challenges that come with parenting four kids. Of course, morning routines vary from person to person, but prioritizing self-care as a mom has been vital. Incorporating a short workout keeps my mind sharp and body healthy even when life is hectic. I also use the early hours for planning the day, making breakfast, or simply savoring a peaceful cup of coffee. If you’re considering adjusting your wake-up time or improving your morning habits, start gradually and be consistent. You’ll find that while it might be tough initially, the benefits of an early start can ripple through your productivity, fitness, and overall well-being.
