By faith!

“Walking by faith, not by sight,” as 2 Corinthians 5:7 beautifully reminds us, has become my guiding principle, especially on those long journeys when life feels uncertain. It's more than just a verse; it's a daily commitment to trust when logic doesn't make sense, and to believe when the path ahead is completely hidden. I remember countless times sitting in my car, maybe after a tough day or contemplating a big decision, and just opening my Bible. It's a simple act, like resting my feet up on the dashboard, but it grounds me. That worn cover, those familiar pages – they remind me that even when things feel broken, God is there, ready to reshape and renew. For me, living with an “open faith” means being vulnerable enough to admit I don't have all the answers. It means surrendering my control and trusting that His vision for my life is far greater than anything I could imagine. It’s about being open to His guidance, even if it leads me down an unexpected road, perhaps one where I'm wearing my favorite cowboy boots, ready to tackle whatever adventure He has planned. These boots have seen a lot of miles, and each scuff mark tells a story of a journey where faith led the way. There’s a profound strength that comes from truly believing that God is working all things for good. When I look back at challenging times, moments where I felt completely lost or overwhelmed, it was my faith that pulled me through. It wasn't about having all the answers or seeing the whole picture; it was about taking that next step, believing He would light the way. It’s a journey of leaning into discomfort, knowing that growth often happens outside our comfort zones. For example, there was a time I faced a major career change, and every logical part of me screamed to play it safe. But through prayer and reading my Bible, I felt a strong pull to step out in faith, even though I couldn't see the full outcome. But then I remember moments where God showed up in unexpected ways, reshaping situations I thought were beyond repair. It’s a continuous process of opening my heart, letting go of fear, and allowing His love to fill those empty spaces. My Bible, often open on my lap or beside me, serves as a constant reminder of His promises and His unwavering faithfulness. It’s a personal compass on this journey. This journey of faith has taught me that true peace isn't the absence of problems, but the presence of God amidst them. It's about having an “open faith” – open to His grace, open to His wisdom, and open to the incredible transformation He brings. It’s about acknowledging that sometimes, the most beautiful things emerge from brokenness, just as a potter reshapes clay. So, whether I'm on the road or at home, I choose to walk by faith, knowing that His plan is perfect, and He's always there, ready to guide me every step of the way. It's a dope feeling to know God is in control, and that with an open heart, He can do anything.
