Currently Reading: ACOTAR
Finally starting with the Maasiverse! The girlies in my book club have been talking nonstop about these books so I’m ready to give them a try!
Which series is your favorite so far? ACOTAR, TOG, or CC?
Okay, so I've finally taken the plunge into the Maasiverse, starting with *A Court of Thorns and Roses*! My book club has been raving about Sarah J. Maas's incredible storytelling, and I'm beyond excited to embark on this epic journey. As a first-time reader, I've heard so many amazing things about the world-building, the characters, and the sheer emotional rollercoaster that awaits. For anyone else just starting their ACOTAR reading adventure, or if you're curious about what makes this series so beloved, let me share a few thoughts as I dive in. I'm focusing on the main A Court of Thorns and Roses series first, but I know there's also Throne of Glass and Crescent City to explore later. It feels like such a huge world to get lost in, and that's exactly what I'm looking for in a fantasy read! One thing I'm already appreciating is the buzz around the characters. I've heard about the incredible depth and development, and I can't wait to meet Feyre, Rhysand, and all the others. Knowing that there are multiple books in the ACOTAR series stack – I believe *A Court of Thorns and Roses*, A Court of Mist and Fury (*ACOTAR book 2*), *A Court of Wings and Ruin*, *A Court of Frost and Starlight*, and A Court of Silver Flames – makes me feel like I have so many hours of reading enjoyment ahead. It's truly a Sarah J. Maas collection to get lost in! If you're wondering where to find these books, I usually check places like Amazon for good deals, or my local independent bookstore. Sometimes, even larger chains like QBD Books have special editions or sales. There's nothing quite like holding a physical copy, especially for a series you know you'll want to reread! I'm also really interested in seeing how the 'Maasiverse' connects all these stories. While ACOTAR is a standalone series, Sarah J. Maas has hinted at connections across her other works, sometimes referred to as the 'Empyrean series' by fans who theorize about a larger, interconnected universe. It adds another layer of excitement to the reading experience! I'm trying to go into this without too many spoilers, but I'm eager to see how the story unfolds and why so many people consider this series to be one of the best fantasy reads out there. What are some of your non-spoiler tips for a new ACOTAR reader? I'm curious about favorite ACOTAR chapters or moments that really hooked you. Or perhaps you could recommend other series like ACOTAR that share similar vibes for when I eventually finish this one? I'm ready for all the magic, romance, and adventure A Court of Thorns and Roses has to offer, and I’m so glad my acotar reading journey has finally begun!

The only way I could get through this first book was by listening to the audiobook. To sit and read it I stopped at chapter 4. I just want to see if the rest get better.
