Who am I

Hey, I’m Rylee ❣️

I’ll be 23 on February 6th, and I’m new to #momlife

Terry and I live in SE Washington with our newborn son and Belgian malinois, Scout. We’re non-religious, and I consider myself a scrunchy mom. I enjoy cooking, charcuterie designing, kayaking, and I love the PNW coast. I’m currently looking for new hobbies, and have been getting more into thrifting while trying to decorate our home.

Here you’ll find recipes, charcuterie, home decor and thrift finds, mom content, vision boards, journaling, and more. There is no niche, there is no aesthetic. I hope you enjoy! Let’s be friends 🥰

... Read moreHey everyone! Since so many of you are curious about my charcuterie boards, I wanted to dive a little deeper into how I create them. Designing these boards has become one of my absolute favorite creative outlets, especially as a new mom finding joy in simple pleasures. It's not just about food; it's about art and bringing people together! When I'm putting together a board, I always think about balance – textures, flavors, and colors. My go-to always starts with a good selection of cheeses. I usually pick three: something soft and spreadable like a creamy brie or a tangy goat cheese, a semi-hard one like a nutty Gruyère or a sharp cheddar, and a firm, salty option like aged Parmesan or Manchego. Variety is truly key here to cater to different palates! Next up are the cured meats. Prosciutto, Genoa salami, coppa, and spicy pepperoni are classics for a reason. I love arranging them in little rosettes, folded patterns, or just beautifully draped to add some visual flair. Don't be afraid to mix and match different types for a richer experience! Then come the accompaniments, where you can really get creative. I always include a variety of crackers – from plain water crackers to artisanal herb-infused ones – and some crusty baguette slices or artisan bread. For fresh fruits, I love colorful options like grapes, sliced apples, pears, and seasonal berries – they add a burst of sweetness and freshness. And don't forget dried fruits like apricots, figs, or cranberries for a chewy texture that complements the savory elements beautifully. To round it all out, I add some briny elements like marinated olives (Castelvetrano are my favorite!) and cornichon pickles. These cut through the richness of the cheese and meat perfectly. A few handfuls of diverse nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans, pistachios) add a nice crunch and healthy fat, and a couple of delicious dips or spreads, like a good honey mustard, a sweet fig jam, or a savory olive tapenade, are non-negotiable. Sometimes I'll even add a small bowl of local honey for drizzling over brie or goat cheese! Presentation is almost as important as the ingredients. I love using my favorite large cutting boards or platters and really filling them up so they look abundant and inviting. A little bit of fresh rosemary, basil sprigs, or edible flowers can act as a beautiful garnish and make the whole board pop. And if you're like me and enjoy thrifting, you can often find unique small bowls, vintage spreaders, or rustic wooden boards to make your display even more special and personal. It’s all about creating an experience! When sourcing ingredients, I try to support local delis or farmers' markets for the freshest options. Don't be intimidated by specialty cheeses; start with what you know and gradually explore new flavors. The beauty of charcuterie is that there's no right or wrong way – it's about what you and your guests enjoy. Creating a charcuterie board is such a flexible process. You can tailor it to any season, any occasion, or any dietary preference. For example, during the holidays, I might lean into more festive colors and add cranberry-studded goat cheese. For a lighter summer board, I'd focus on more fresh veggies and lighter cheeses. It’s all about experimenting and having fun with it! I hope these tips inspire you to create your own beautiful and delicious charcuterie boards. It's a wonderful way to entertain without a lot of fuss, letting you enjoy time with your loved ones and showcase your creativity. Let me know what your favorite charcuterie additions are in the comments!

am i the only one who don't like this?
i was definitely tempted to buy it because, well, I'm a total Booker & Kendall [couple name] fan. You know, when those rumors of them getting back together were swirling? Yeah, that's when I snagged this for Hailey (my phone, not the actual Hailey ). Honestly, the case itself is decent

I’m 30 and I have no idea who I am
I wrote this as I looked at my life and saw that I have everything I wanted but I hate how I look and feel about myself. Sometimes I don’t know if I can win with how my brain works. I am an echo of voices I cannot distinguish which one is my own People make me feel like I'm doing everythin
