Rather than forcing gratitude, I treated it as a gentle reminder to notice the good, even if it was tiny. I also found that mixing up gratitude tools kept the practice fresh—sometimes I used prompts to reflect on what I learned that day, other times I expressed gratitude through creative means like drawing or photography. This variety made it easier to stay engaged and consistent, especially when life felt overwhelming. Overall, building a gratitude habit is about flexibility and kindness towards yourself, not rigidity. It's perfectly okay if some days are harder; the key is to keep returning to gratitude in whatever way feels authentic to you.
