Guided tour in the wedding venue without prior booking?! - The Edition Singapore

Wedding Venue Hunt Part V is at the Edition hotel (under Marriott hotels).

The mister and I were actually viewing Orchard Hotel and we were just walking around that area. I told the mister that Nathan Hartono (I'm the biggest fan of him) got married at the hotel and why not take a look inside.

and wow, we were amazed by everything! The location, venue, service and etc.

The place is so pretty! From the entrance with cocktail bars and all, to the ballroom with high ceiling and pretty lights! We walked in without prior booking but the hotel floor manager was nice enough to bring us around when she asked us if we were there for a particular reason like dining or whatsoever, we told her we were actually just looking around for a wedding venue. She immediately brought us around everywhere! Including an event bar room, punch room (they have cocktail punches in punch bowl, say what?!) all the way to the ballroom and rooftop bar.

We had their cocktails with local flair and damn they were so good. if we were not rushing off somewhere else after, we would've stayed till late!

So many pros in this venue, but the only con was that the place is wayyyy out of our budget.

But we were so blown away by the service and vibes that the mister asked me "can we just save up more and hold our wedding here" 🤣 But the minimum table is 25, so mister, not only do we need to save up more, we need to find more family and friends HAHAHA

But overall, great vibes, but I don't know where is the banquet food from though!

the hunt continues! (but we shortlisted this too)

Even without prior booking, the floor manager was welcoming and eager to showcase the venue’s highlights, which included the elegant ballroom with its lofty ceilings and exquisite lighting. This spontaneous guided tour felt very personal, an aspect that can often be missing in scheduled visits. One of the standout features was the cocktail and punch rooms, offering specially curated drinks that reflect local flavors—an impressive plus for any wedding wanting to infuse a unique touch. The punch room, with its creative cocktail punch bowls, was something I had never seen before and made me realize how important distinctive spaces are for diverse wedding celebrations, from formal dinners to lively after-parties. The hotel itself exudes a vibe that doesn't feel like typical Singapore, making it an appealing venue for guests seeking an immersive atmosphere. The rooftop bar is an additional highlight, offering breathtaking views and a relaxed setting that could work perfectly for an intimate evening gathering after the wedding. Although the venue's minimum table requirement places it outside our initial budget, the idea of saving up to hold a wedding here felt exciting. Guests would undoubtedly be impressed by the thoughtfully designed spaces, the comprehensive service, and the little extras such as complimentary snacks, cocktails during happy hour, and attentive personalized service, like preparing an ice cream sandwich for a birthday celebration. The Edition’s integration with renowned establishments like the FYSH restaurant and the availability of amenities like bespoke Le Labo toiletries add layers of luxury and convenience. For couples who value exceptional guest experience and wish to hold a wedding with a distinctly contemporary yet elegant flair, this venue offers many advantages. For anyone considering The Edition as a wedding venue, my advice is to embrace flexibility; sometimes unplanned visits can reveal the true spirit of a place more effectively than formal tours. Be sure to explore every nook—from the spiral staircases to the discreet event rooms—to get a complete sense of what your big day could look like. With proper planning and budgeting, this venue could easily become the backdrop for unforgettable wedding memories.
