DR. FEELGOOD ACAI BOWLS & SMOOTHIES ( KEITH LEE )
I got the chance to visit dr. feelgood after a mean workout and i took some notes ! Here are my thoughts:
ITEMS PURCHASED 💳:
•The Max Smoothie $10 ( no substitutions )
This was my first time trying a smoothie with seamoss gel in it! And while it did not effect the taste of the smoothie , i did have a few chucks in between within my smoothie throwing me off a bit ( the smoothie is on the thicker texture side) other than that , fresh ingredients were used and no overpowering artificial sweeteners or taste were used which could be bland to some but i make smoothies at home as well so i was use to the familiar taste !
✍️ RATE: 6.5/10
• Turkey & Cheese Melt $6 ( no substitutions)
the melt came in a buttery crossisant and freshly made. however, i felt that the turkey slabs were alittle too thick for the crossiant, having more meat than anything . However not a bad quick bite to go with a tea or smoothie .
✍️ RATE: 6/10
OVERALL APPEAL:
I loved the that the staff was very friendly and patient with customers and the atmosphere was very light. I do believe the prices for the acai bowls specifically were alittle pricey compared to competitors but if i was to go back I would love to try a blue dream acai based bowl instead as I hear it is popular and maybe the hot teas with seamoss as well.
⭐️Overall rating: 6.5/10
( once again this is my personally opinion so do not let this deter you from trying! )
Hey everyone! Following up on my recent visit to Dr. FeelGood in Baton Rouge, I wanted to share a bit more about their amazing menu, especially since so many of you asked about it! It's truly a spot that encourages you to 'TRUST YOUR GUT' with their healthy options. First off, if you're like me and always on the hunt for a good post-workout refuel, their Organic Superfood Smoothies are definitely a highlight. While I tried 'The Max' (and gave you my honest thoughts on the seamoss chunks!), I've been eyeing their 'Blue Dream' smoothie – it sounds so refreshing and packed with goodness. They have a great range of 'Add Ins' too, so you can really customize your blend to exactly what your body needs. I appreciate that they focus on fresh ingredients, something you can definitely taste. Beyond smoothies, their Acai Bowls are super popular. I mentioned wanting to try the 'Blue Dream' acai bowl, and it’s on my list for next time. If you're looking for something vibrant, nutrient-dense, and satisfying, their acai bowls seem to be a local favorite. They're a bit pricier than some competitors, but the quality of ingredients makes it worth considering for a treat or a substantial meal. For those who need a little more than a liquid lunch, their 'Bites' menu has some solid options. I reviewed the 'Turkey & Cheese Melt' on a buttery croissant – it was a quick bite, but next time I might explore their 'Toasted Tuna Croissant' for something different. These are great if you're popping in for a quick, healthy-ish snack or light meal. And for my tea lovers, you absolutely have to check out their Hot Teas! Priced at just $6.00, they come with complimentary seamoss gel, which is a fantastic bonus. They offer unique blends like 'Hibiscus', 'Ginger and Tumeric Spiced Chia', 'Mushroom Blend', and 'Ashwagandha Root'. I'm particularly interested in the mushroom blend for its wellness benefits and the Ashwagandha for stress relief. It's rare to find such thoughtfully curated tea options, and the added seamoss is a real health boost during colder months or for an immune system pick-me-up. The atmosphere at Dr. FeelGood is really bright and inviting, perfect for a quick stop or a relaxed moment. The staff are super friendly and helpful if you have questions about the menu or ingredients. It truly feels like a place where you can nourish your body and mind. Whether you're a local in Baton Rouge or just passing through, if you're seeking delicious organic superfoods, refreshing smoothies, or unique hot teas, definitely give Dr. FeelGood a visit. Don't let my personal ratings deter you; everyone's taste is different, and there's so much to explore on their menu!

Definitely going there next week 😩
