If you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind in Labuan Bajo, Le Bajo Flores is a charming little cafe worth checking out
Tucked away a short walk from the main road, getting there means a bit of a stroll under the sun but the friendly staff made it easier by offering us an umbrella for the walk to the cafe on the other side.
When we visited in early March, the place was surprisingly empty. It might have been because it was the low season, and Padar Island had temporarily closed due to bad weather. Whatever the reason, the quiet atmosphere made the cafe feel even more peaceful.
There’s no air conditioning, but the natural breeze keeps things comfortable, especially if you grab a seat with a good view.
We only tried the drinks and desserts during our visit, but they were enjoyable and reasonably priced especially considering the scenic views you get while sipping your drink.
It’s a great place to slow down, cool off, and take in the laid-back vibe of Labuan Bajo.

The journey to the cafe involves a short walk away from the busy main road, which adds to the sense of seclusion and tranquility. The staff’s kindness, such as offering an umbrella under the hot sun, really stood out and made the experience more welcoming.
One aspect I particularly loved was the natural setting of the cafe. Despite the absence of air conditioning, the gentle breeze flowing through the open space created a comfortable environment, especially when seated by the windows showcasing a gorgeous view of the surrounding landscape and sea. It’s truly a great place to chill and soak in the laid-back vibe that Labuan Bajo offers.
Though I only sampled the drinks and desserts, the menu’s prices were surprisingly reasonable given the stunning ambiance. The desserts were delightful and paired well with the refreshing beverages. For anyone planning a visit, I recommend coming during the off-peak season to enjoy the calm and peaceful atmosphere, as it can get quite crowded during peak times.
Le Bajo Flores is not just a cafe; it’s a small haven where you can slow down and reconnect with nature. Whether you’re a local or a traveler exploring Indonesia, this spot is worth adding to your itinerary for a serene and scenic coffee break.
