「バイト先でお金盗まれた。警察って呼んでいいの？」と迷う人、すごく多いと思います。私も今回、息子の話を聞いてから“その場でどう動くべきだったか”を後から必死に調べました。同じ状況になった時のために、私が「次はこうする」と決めた流れを書きます。 まず結論から言うと、金額が少なくても盗難は盗難なので、迷ったら警察に相談してOKです。すぐ110番が不安なら、最寄りの警察署や交番に「被害届を出したい（または相談したい）」と連絡する形でも大丈夫。ポイントは“その日のうちに”動くこと。時間が空くほど防犯カメラの上書きや記憶の曖昧さで、確認が難しくなります。 当日やること（できる範囲で）： 1) 監督・責任者に「いつ、どこに置き、いつ気づいたか」を時系列で伝える 2) 休憩室・出入口・更衣室・コンビニ動線など、防犯カメラの有無と保存期間を確認し、映像保全を依頼 3) 触った場所（ロッカー、棚など）や周囲の状況、同じ時間帯に出入りした人をメモ 4) 可能なら財布の中身（被害金額、残っていた金額）を写真やメモで記録 「置いてたお前が悪い」と言われることもあるみたいですが、管理が甘かったことと、盗む行為は別問題です。職場側に落ち度がないかどうかは別として、被害者が泣き寝入りする必要はありません。警察へ行くときは、勤務先名・住所・担当者名・連絡先、勤務時間、休憩時間、被害場所が分かるもの（求人票や勤務連絡の画面など）を持っていくと話が早いです。 被害届を出すかどうか迷う場合も、「相談記録」を残すだけでも意味があります。次に同じ職場で同様の被害が出た時、積み重なった情報が手がかりになることもあるそうです。 今後の防犯として、スポットバイトや短期バイトほど“職場のルールが分からない”ので要注意。私が息子に伝えたのは、 ・現金は最小限（帰りの交通費＋α） ・財布は肌身離さない（休憩室に置かない） ・置くなら鍵付きロッカーがあるか事前確認 ・貴重品は小さめのサコッシュやウエストポーチで常に携帯 ・昼休憩に席を外す前に、財布・スマホ・鍵のチェック 今回みたいに「電車賃が足りない」事態も起きるので、最低限の予備（IC残高を多めに、千円札を分散、連絡用の充電）も大事だなと痛感しました。嫌な経験だけど、次に同じ思いをしないための対策に変えていきたいです。
