I am shy when putting my face out on social media (which is why I picked this dark photo 😭)
🙏🏻: I converted to Catholicism! My family are Protestants however, not practicing/ didn’t raise me to TRUST in God. On Easter Vigil March 30, 2024(Day before Easter) I got baptized, got confirmed, and had my first communion!
I have been studying my Bible more by using a journal and it’s been helping me learn a lot more! (I will make a post on it)
📸: I don’t know who I would be without photography. I love it because when I can’t remember a memory, I look at photos and I can remember the weather, my thoughts, and my mood the moment a photo was taken.
🏰: I also LOVE going to Disneyland! This is
seriously my comfort
place 🥹
If you see this, I would like to know about you too! Also trying to find more girlies with my interests! 🥰
... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you have reached out wanting to know more about my journey, especially after my last post. I'm so touched by your curiosity and wanted to share a little more in-depth about what makes me, well, me!
First off, my journey to Catholicism has been incredibly profound. For those wondering about my faith, it wasn't something I grew up with, and my family wasn't practicing. It was a very personal decision, a quiet calling that grew stronger over time. The process of converting, especially going through RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), was truly transformative. Learning about the faith, engaging in discussions, and feeling that growing connection to God was an experience unlike any other. The Easter Vigil on March 30, 2024, was one of the most memorable nights of my life. Receiving baptism, confirmation, and my first communion all in one night felt like a spiritual rebirth. It was deeply emotional and a moment I'll cherish forever. Since then, diving into Bible study with my journal has become a daily practice, helping me understand and connect even more. It’s truly a journey of trust and discovery.
You might have noticed I tend to be a bit shy on social media, which is why I often share photos that aren't always front-facing, like that initial darker selfie. It's a real thing for me, putting myself out there can be a little intimidating! But I'm actively working on stepping out of my comfort zone, and your support really helps. I think it's important to be authentic, and for me, that means acknowledging my shyness while still trying to connect.
Now, let's talk about my passions! Photography isn't just a hobby; it's how I preserve my memories and express myself. There's something magical about capturing a moment, knowing that years from now, I can look back and instantly recall the emotion, the light, and even the sounds of that exact second. Whether it's the bustling streets of Chinatown, San Francisco, or a quiet sunset, my camera is always with me, ready to freeze time. It’s my way of storytelling when words aren’t enough.
And of course, Disneyland! Oh, Disneyland. It’s not just an amusement park; it’s genuinely my comfort place. From the moment I step onto Main Street, U.S.A., all my worries just melt away. The magic, the nostalgia, the joy in everyone's faces – it's infectious. There's a particular joy in experiencing classics like "it's a small world!" where you're just enveloped in pure, whimsical happiness. It’s a place where I feel completely at ease and can just be myself, soaking in all the wonder. I'm always looking for fellow Disney enthusiasts, so if you're one too, let's chat!
I hope this gives you a bit more insight into my world. I love sharing these parts of myself and hearing about your experiences too!
