95°F in NYC

Reminding you to stay hydrated. 💧

5/19 Edited to

... Read moreLiving through a 95°F day in New York City can be quite challenging, especially for those unaccustomed to intense heat. I’ve found that staying hydrated is the key to maintaining energy and focus when temperatures soar. Carrying a reusable water bottle filled with cool water wherever I go makes all the difference throughout the day. Additionally, it's important to pace yourself—avoid overexertion and take regular breaks in shaded or air-conditioned spaces to prevent overheating. Wearing light, breathable clothing and using sunscreen also protect against the sun’s strong rays. I remind myself to stay patient and keep a positive attitude, which aligns with the inspiring message I noticed: “Persistent Be Positive Productive Patient babal”. This mindset helps me manage the heat with calm and motivation, especially during busy or demanding summer days. If you need to be outdoors for extended periods, try to schedule activities for cooler parts of the day, like early morning or late evening. Incorporating cooling foods like fruits rich in water content—such as watermelon or cucumbers—can also boost hydration. Overall, combining hydration, protective habits, and a resilient mindset is essential to thrive during NYC’s scorching 95°F days.
