Fitness: nutrition 🍋Tips from Europe

Since I’ve been back from Europe, I have noticed my diet and intake on food has changed! Things I would never thought I would do. I am doing and honestly have been noticing a huge difference, let me put you on☺️

1. I was never a big carb person. I’m still not, but if you’ve been to Europe, you know the baguettes, our life LOL. I would have a baguette in the morning, for breakfast, and what I learned is. It’s a great way to start your day. It’s fuel. ⛽️ for the rest of the day!

2. I always said this, but I stick to it. Even more protein always in. Especially if you’re on the move a lot. Get your protein in. You will burn calories faster.

3. Walking is HUGE in Europe, I live in LA. We are not really walking city. However, I learned that walking Everywhere and getting your 10,000 steps in a day makes life so much easier! Especially if you want to lose those extra few pounds, or just maintain your weight & look amazing! 🤩 (no gym required for this one)

4. It’s small but huge. Start your day with lemon water and drink a lot of water in general. It flushes your system and makes your skin looking amazing!

5. I’ve never been a huge breakfast person tbhhh, but since we were on the move, basically, all day, I was kind of forced to be a breakfast person.. however, what I noticed was breakfast. Really is the most important meal of the day! I would eat breakfast and be set, with high energy, and feel amazing throughout the day! So, remember to fuel up in the morning📈

Carbohydrates, often misunderstood, serve as a critical source of energy that fuels your body throughout the day. Including moderate amounts of quality carbs like baguettes in your morning meal can provide long-lasting energy to support your activities. Protein intake is crucial, especially for those who are active or constantly on the move. It aids muscle repair and increases calorie burn, helping you maintain or lose weight effectively. Whether through lean meats, dairy, or plant-based sources, ensuring sufficient protein helps optimize metabolism and supports fitness goals. Daily physical activity such as walking is a cornerstone of European fitness culture. Striving to walk 10,000 steps each day not only assists in managing weight but also improves cardiovascular health without requiring gym equipment. This natural movement encourages a sustainable active lifestyle. Starting the day with lemon water offers detoxifying benefits and hydration, which is essential for healthy skin and supporting your body’s natural flushing mechanisms. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day complements this routine for improved skin appearance and overall internal health. Finally, breakfast should not be overlooked. A nutritious breakfast replenishes energy stores, improves concentration, and boosts metabolism to prepare you for the day ahead. Even if you’re not typically a breakfast eater, incorporating this meal can improve energy levels and support better dietary habits. Together, these subtle yet impactful tips—fueling your body with balanced carbs, prioritizing protein, embracing daily walking, hydrating with lemon water, and committing to a healthy breakfast—can upgrade your fitness journey inspired by European health traditions.
