Hey everyone! So, diving into my Ashley Graham cosplay from Resident Evil 4 Remake has been such an amazing journey, and I wanted to share some of my personal tips and tricks, especially since I know many of you are curious about getting her look just right. First off, the makeup! Ashley’s look is pretty natural but with a touch of grittiness, fitting for someone trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. I focused on a base that looks healthy but not overly perfected – think a light-to-medium coverage foundation. For her eyes, I went for a subtle brown eyeshadow to add depth, a thin line of brown eyeliner, and a good mascara to make them pop without looking too dramatic. A little blush to give some life to the cheeks, and a natural pink or nude lip gloss completes the look. The key is to make it look like she's been through some stuff but still has that youthful glow. Now, let's talk about that ponytail – probably one of her most distinctive features in the remake! Getting Ashley’s ponytail right can be trickier than it looks. If you're using your own hair, make sure it's long enough to gather high on your head. I found that teasing the roots slightly before gathering the hair helps add volume and gives it that slightly messy-but-styled look she has. For wigs, look for one that's designed to be styled into a high ponytail, or one with enough length and thickness. I usually secure the ponytail with a strong elastic, then wrap a small section of hair around the base to hide it for a cleaner finish. Don't forget her bangs! They frame her face perfectly, so whether you're trimming a wig or styling your own hair, make sure they're swept to the side and have that natural flow. Beyond the hair and makeup, embodying Ashley is also about the outfit and her demeanor. Her classic school uniform is instantly recognizable, so pay attention to details like the plaid skirt, yellow cardigan, and white blouse. Comfort is key too, especially if you're going to be moving around a lot at a con! Posing as Ashley means capturing her mix of bravery and occasional vulnerability. Think about her poses in the game – sometimes determined, sometimes a little scared, but always trying her best. It's been so much fun bringing this character to life.
