A few words of encouragement 🫶
As I lay here and write this, I’m currently laying next to my now one year old. (Her birthday was today 🥹) and as I’m posting my daily milk pour on TikTok I was suddenly overcome with complete and overwhelming gratitude for the fact I’ve been able to a full year, 365 days of breastfeeding & pumping! If you are or ever have been a breastfeeding/pumping mama then you understand. But thinking about how grateful I was reminded me there was MANY times I was ready to give up for all different kinds of reasons but I forced myself to stick to it and here I am today still going strong!
But now this is about you mama, I’m so proud of you for taking on the extremely trying task of breastfeeding or pumping (or both like me!). You would think that because that’s how God created us to be able to feed our babies, however it doesn’t always come easy. There will be times where it’s so smooth sailing you don’t even second guess it but there will also be other times where you’re absolutely ready to throw in the towel. Whichever one you choose to do, just know I’m still proud of you & the time that you did do it, it was such a blessing for your baby. I know it’s hard and it can be a struggle but if you can thug it out a little longer & make it through the season you’re in, you’ll be so grateful you did!
If you’re struggling with production, or motivation, have questions or even just need to vent, follow and stick around because I’ll be posting frequent tips and tricks that worked for me as an over supplier but also encouragement too! This is a safe space & a judgement free zone, no question is stupid & I’ll always reply!
But on another note, hug your little baby a little extra tonight because time really is a thief and in the blink of an eye, you’ll be putting them to bed for the last time as an 11 mo old and then again for the first time as being a one year old. And then you’ll be a sobbing mess like me. So pleeeease be sure to get in those extra cuddles and kisses, pictures and videos, you’ll thank me later.
Love ya bestie.
