How I started focusing on my natural beauty🌿✨

In January of this year I decided, new year new me, just like everyone else does. But this time I truly stuck to it! I first started with the solo goal of losing weight. I was a year postpartum and literally felt like I didn’t even know who I was anymore and hated what I saw in the mirror. I started doing weight watchers and slowly but surely that weight started coming off. (and still is!) Changing how my body looked inspired me to not stop there. I started finding other things I wanted to change. For example, I was tired of feeling like I had to wear makeup everywhere I went. My new goal was to stop wearing makeup. (unless it’s for an event) with that new goal in mind I started focusing on skincare and slowly but surely my skin cleared up and I started feeling comfortable going out to do stuff with no makeup on. Next, was my hair. It’s always been naturally curl but it always seemed too difficult to manage so I would always start using heat and crimping or straightening it again. Over time, I started really getting the hang of my natural curls and now I wear my hair curly all the time. It took me almost a year to get where I am now and trust me I’m definitely not where I want to be yet but I’m so much closer than I was last January. Good things truly take time and you have to have a lot of grace for yourself but over time you will get to where you want . If you just keep doing all the things to the best of your ability and remain patient, you can do whatever you set your mind to!🫶🏻✨
