My controversial parenting choices….

I will probably get some backlash for some of these but I truly do not care.

My daughter is very well loved and taken care of. She’s very polite and smart for her age. Doctors are always commenting on that. The best feeling in the world is when she comes to me randomly to say “I love you mommy” and gives me a hug and kiss. It just melts my heart to where I know I’m doing something right😭❤️

I do NOT lay any hands on my daughter and I will never. If a family member does or suggests it they are never allowed to watch her! I also limit who can babysit her, my sisters and my mom are really the only people that watch her besides me and her dad.

We went down the rabbit hole of dyes, vaccines, chemicals, and so much more. We started going dye free with food/drink and meds. There’s holistic medicine we make and use for minor things. Ex: cuts & scraps.

I made the mistake of not researching vaccinations when I had her and she’s received all of them. I am pro vaccine to a point as I believe there’s diseases and sickness that can be prevented because of them. But when they are born, there’s a lot of vaccines they receive at once that are not needed and I won’t be giving my son. Covid and the new RSV vaccine they will not receive! We don’t do the flu shot either and we’ve never had it.

The amazing thing about parenting is we can do it whatever way we want. If you love extreme gentle parenting and it works for you great! I won’t be doing it. Or if you allow unlimited screen time and whatever food/drink to be eaten, that’s your choice as well and you have the right to that. I personally just won’t be doing that as well.

I don’t want the comment section to be people arguing with each other or disrespectful comments. But I would love to see all the different ways people parent their kids.

... Read moreParenting styles vary greatly, and many parents face challenges in deciding what's best for their children. In recent years, there has been a significant focus on alternative parenting methods, such as gentle parenting and attachment parenting. The practice of co-sleeping, as mentioned in your article, has gained popularity among parents who believe it fosters better emotional bonds and security for children. While some experts endorse gentle parenting, arguing it creates a nurturing environment, others warn of potential downsides if boundaries aren't set. Parents often worry about their children's screen time; finding the right balance can be tricky, especially in a digital age where screens are ubiquitous. It's essential to ensure that screen time is used intentionally and in moderation, with an emphasis on educational content. When it comes to vaccinations, parents grapple with information overload. This complex topic has led to differing opinions, with some advocating for a tailored vaccine schedule instead of the standard approach recommended by healthcare professionals. Each family must evaluate their comfort level with vaccines, keeping in mind public health and disease prevention. Ultimately, balancing differing beliefs and community expectations can be daunting. Encouraging open discussions, as you've suggested, might be the key to understanding and respecting various parenting choices while fostering a supportive environment for parents to share their experiences.
