How I’m preparing my toddler for preschool…
My daughter is 3 so she will be starting preschool soon! I might take the homeschooling route though because of the crazy things that can happen in schools these days. Plus you make your own hours and they are stressed and overloaded.
My daughter can count to 20, knows all of her colors, knows big words like stethoscope, xylophone, can add with her fingers, knows the abc’s and is learning to write!
She has very good speech too and most people think she’s older than she is including doctors/nurses.
All of these things have helped her so much with learning. Shoutout to Ms. Rachel when she was younger and taught her a lot as well😂

Preparing your toddler for preschool can be an exciting yet challenging time for parents. Many parents opt for homeschooling due to concerns about school environments and the ability to tailor education to their child’s needs. It's essential to create a secure and stimulating learning environment at home that promotes skill development through fun activities. For instance, incorporating educational toys such as dry-erase workbooks can encourage writing and counting skills while allowing for corrections and practice. Engaging your toddler in counting games or color identification exercises can enhance their learning experiences and boost their confidence. Using resources like the LeapFrog learning systems or creative apps can integrate fun into learning, making the process enjoyable. In addition, parents can use songs or games to develop vocabulary, helping children learn complex words like 'stethoscope' or 'xylophone' through playful interactions. Speech development is crucial during these formative years, and many parents find that engaging with their children during these activities significantly enhances their verbal skills. Ultimately, understanding that preparation goes beyond academics is vital. It's also about social readiness—for instance, playdates or group activities can help with social skills. As parents share their experiences, strategies for effectively transitioning to preschool emerge, contributing to a supportive community for all families. Highlighting the balance between structure and play leads to a smooth and joyful preschool experience.
