Is Pre-K a Must??

We are going to homeschool my first baby, who’s about to turn 4. We’ve been incorporating things she’d learn in Pre-K with everyday life. We’ve also been practicing writing letters and learning them. Also practicing with numbers, counting, adding and subtracting.

She talks very well for her age and always gets compliments on it from other people, even the doctors! She also understands a lot that is going on around her, she’s very aware of her surroundings.

So if you are going to homeschool I would say Pre-k is NOT a must but I would incorporate things they would learn in Pre-K with your daily routine. Or add some things in.

I know people will say “well pre-K is for the kids to get used to a classroom setting and getting along with other kids…” but you can do that with home schooling as well. Home schooling doesn’t mean you stay at home, inside all day. It’s going places as well and making it a fun learning experience while also getting the social part in.
