大屋根リングの魅力をより深く感じてもらうために、構造面についても少し紹介します。大屋根リングは大量の木材を組み合わせたリング梁構造で成り立っており、その巨大さと複雑さはまさに圧巻です。私が実際に訪れた時、木材のぬくもりと現代的な設計の融合を間近で感じられて、自然素材の強さと美しさに感動しました。 また、太陽光パネルが設置されているため、環境負荷を抑えつつエネルギーも確保しているのが印象的でした。木造ながらしっかりと耐久性を保つ構造技術は、世界中の建築関係者からも注目されているそうです。 写真で見ても壮大な木の梁や柱が幾重にも連なり、来場者がその下を歩くと包まれるような安心感を感じられます。夜はライトアップにより木造の陰影が美しく浮かび上がり、まるで未来に向けての希望の輪のようでした。 これから2025年の万博に訪れる方や関心のある方は、ぜひ昼と夜の違いを体験してみてほしいです。私も次回は夕暮れ時に訪れて東ゲートから西ゲートへ、反時計回りで歩きながら日没が海に沈む景色を楽しみたいと思っています。
