Work of a beginner nail apprentice 🫶✨

Hey everyone! So thrilled to share more about my journey as a beginner nail apprentice. You saw some of my initial work, and I'm particularly excited about the billiard nail designs – they're definitely a fun challenge and always get compliments! It all started for me in December, and I've been loving every minute of experimenting with different styles. When it comes to creating these cool billiard ball and classic 8-ball designs, I've found a few things that really help. For the perfect black 8-ball, a good dotting tool is essential for that crisp white circle. Getting the '8' just right takes a steady hand, but practice truly makes perfect! For more intricate 3D billiard ball effects, I've been playing around with builder gel and carefully building up thin layers to give it that realistic, rounded look. It’s amazing how much depth you can add with just a little patience and a UV lamp for curing. I've also seen how these designs look fantastic on various nail shapes, whether it's long pointed nails, short square nails, or even almond-shaped nails. The key is adapting the scale of the design to the nail's surface. But it's not just about pool-themed nails! I've been exploring a whole world of nail art. I love how versatile nails can be. For instance, I’ve tried elegant French tips, which are a timeless classic, and then gone completely different with bold black and white stripes or even silver glitter. Zebra stripes are another favorite of mine for adding a wild touch, and I even tried a unique pink criss-cross design on a camouflage pattern, mixing greens, pinks, and blacks – it was quite a creative twist! My practice sessions often involve trying out whimsical designs like the fried egg nails on short natural nails, or even fun pop culture references like the Poké Ball decals. These smaller, simpler designs are great for building confidence and mastering precision. I also love creating seasonal looks, like the winter-themed snow globe design with tiny Christmas trees on practice tips. It's a great way to get into the holiday spirit! I've also explored abstract designs with lavender and black, and even tried my hand at metallic and evil eye patterns on artificial tips. There's so much to learn with different polishes and techniques, like using the Dazzle Dry Mini Kit for quick drying and glossy finishes. Every set of nails, whether it's a simple marbled pattern or something more complex with gold accents, teaches me something new. It's truly rewarding to see how a blank nail can transform into a tiny canvas. I'm always looking for new inspiration and techniques, watching tutorials, and practicing on nail swatches.
