Budgeting!! 💸

Come budget my bi-weekly paycheck with me as someone trying to save up money for her bills so that she doesn’t die working when she goes to grad school in August!!!😀

My total income was $2,038.52…this included my full time job and 3 refunds from when my card was stolen in March

First thing I take out is bills! i don’t trust auto-payments and I’m neurotic about an online calendar so I just keep my bill schedule there! After those I was left with $1057.89.

Next is savings!! My main goal is to save up enough bill money for the months of sep-dec, which is $2400ish. I put all of my frauded refund money in my savings and end up taking $10 in cash for a cash savings I’m doing!

After taking out my savings I have $55.30 in the checking account plus the $47.74 leftover from last check! That’s leaves me $103.04 left in checking until my next paycheck🥲 Let me know in the comments if you want me to show you my cash savings system I do!

... Read moreUnderstanding effective budgeting strategies is essential for financial stability, especially for students and young professionals. Using your paycheck wisely begins with identifying fixed expenses such as bills, which should be prioritized. For instance, by breaking down my income of $2,038.52 into necessary payments and savings, I allocate funds in a way that safeguards my future. It’s crucial to continuously monitor your remaining balance after expenses, like I did with $1,057.89 left after bills. This balance should contribute towards savings goals, such as covering bills for upcoming months. A mindful approach has allowed me to save enough for my expenses from September to December, projected to be around $2,400. Incorporating cash savings into your routine can also provide a safety net. Ultimately, budgeting is about creating a plan that promotes financial health while adapting to unforeseen circumstances. Regularly checking your bills and total savings can help ensure you reach your financial goals, allowing you to pursue further education without undue financial stress.
