happy to be back

after being with me all day for a month, going back to school was rough for sweet girl. it's been 3 weeks ans she is absolutely enjoying it again. no more tears at drop only at pick up because she's ready to be home. love that she has a great day all day, any recommendations on what to pack a one year old to eat for lunch and snack would be greatly appreciated please, I would love for her to actually eat her main meal other than the fruit.

When packing lunches for toddlers, it's essential to think about both nutrition and appeal. At this age, toddlers are often picky eaters, so offering a variety of textures and flavors is key. For lunch, consider easy-to-eat options like bite-sized pieces of chicken or turkey, soft vegetables like steamed carrots or peas, and whole grain crackers. Fruits are usually a favorite, so including apple slices, banana chunks, or berries can make the meal more enjoyable. You might also try packing small pockets of yogurt or cheese to add a protein boost, which is crucial for their growth. For snacks, think about healthier choices that are still fun. Mini muffins, cheese cubes, or whole grain puffs can keep them satisfied until pick-up time. It's important to remember that toddlers thrive on routine, so involving your child in the lunch-packing process could encourage them to eat what you send. Don't forget to pack plenty of water or a milk alternative to ensure hydration throughout the day. Consistency and a little creativity can make lunchtime exciting for your little one as they adjust back to school life!
