MUST-HAVE elevated basics from H&M 🤍🖤

if u r on the lookout for some cute elevated basic, i have the perfect recommendation for u!! 🫶🏼

whenever i go into h&m it’s usually a hit or a miss. i sometimes see some cute stuff but the quality is not always the best. i went into h&m while traveling because i was running out of outfit options and i was so surprised they had tops this cute AND they were super soft!!

the quality of these shirts is better than most h&m clothing in my opinion!! it’s made from 89% polyester and 11% spandex, but the material is so buttery soft!! my only comment i have is that the white is a bit sheer so make sure to wear a skin colored bra if u r not comfortable with ur nips showing.

i absolutely love the ruffle strap detail on the shoulder! it makes the basic silhouette of tank top so much cuter and more fancy.

... Read moreHey everyone! So, building on my recent H&M find, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why these 'elevated basics' are such a game-changer, especially if you're like me and always on the hunt for affordable quality. When it comes to H&M, I know the reputation can be a bit mixed – sometimes you hit gold, sometimes it's a miss. But honestly, these specific sleeveless tops with the ruffle strap detail? They are definitely gold. For those of you heading back to campus or just trying to curate a solid neutral wardrobe, these tops are absolute staples. They're incredibly versatile. I've paired mine with everything from my favorite light-wash jeans for a casual everyday look to layering them under a blazer for something a bit more polished. That elevated basic style means you can dress them up or down so easily. Think about it: a simple black or off-white top that feels and looks far more expensive than its $14.99 price tag? That's a win in my book for any student budget! One of the main reasons I rave about them is the material. Seriously, it's that 89% polyester and 11% spandex blend that just feels so buttery soft against your skin. It's breathable enough for warmer days but also has a nice weight that makes it feel substantial, not flimsy. I've found that with H&M, checking the fabric composition is key. For true basics and essentials clothing, I always look for blends like this or pieces with a good amount of cotton or modal for comfort and durability. This specific top holds its shape well too, which is crucial for items you’ll be wearing constantly. Now, a lot of you search for H&M basics clothing and often wonder if you can achieve that 'Aritzia aesthetic' without the Aritzia price tag. While these aren't direct dupes, they absolutely capture that vibe of understated elegance and high-quality feel. It’s all about selecting pieces that have unique details, like this ruffle strap, or superior fabric that makes a simple item look intentional and chic. When I'm looking for H&M tops or even H&M basics t-shirts, I try to find those hidden gems that offer a touch of something special, whether it’s a subtle texture, a flattering cut, or a fabric that drapes beautifully. My top tip for shopping H&M basics is to always try them on and really feel the material. Don't be afraid to size up or down to get the perfect fit. And for the white top being a bit sheer, a nude bra is your best friend – problem solved! These tops have quickly become my go-to for effortless style, and I can genuinely say they've exceeded my expectations for H&M quality. If you're building out your wardrobe with foundational pieces, definitely keep an eye out for these!
