HEARING FROM GOD 📿
It’s been an emotionally tough week, yet through it all I know my God has plans for me which keeps me pushing.
As I drove into work this morning, I was feeling overwhelmed, but grateful, about everything that is going on in my life. I was just so in my head and as I stopped at a light, I looked over to the building next to me because I wanted to look at all the graffiti. In the middle of it all, the words “God will rise” are just written there. Mind you, I’ve driven this way countless times and never once have I seen that written there. I could cry because I’ve just been so consumed with everything that I’ve felt far from God even when doing my Bible studies, yet God is telling me that He will rise, that it will be okay. Everything I’m worried about and stressed about, it doesn’t even matter because God’s plan always prevails.
God can speak to us in so many different ways, we just have to position ourselves to hear Him. This means having quiet time with God, so that you can actually hear Him. This means keeping God at the forefront of your mind so that you may discern whatever it is you think He is saying. This means praying for discernment. This means talking to God about anything and everything.
In times of emotional struggle, many individuals seek solace through their faith. The connection between spirituality and mental well-being cannot be underestimated. Researchers suggest that engaging in prayer and meditation can lead to reduced anxiety and increased feelings of peace. Furthermore, maintaining a relationship with God through consistent study and reflection often helps individuals navigate life's challenges more effectively. To deepen your connection, consider setting aside dedicated time each day for prayer and reflection. This practice can enhance your ability to listen and understand God's messages in your life. Additionally, involving yourself in community discussions about faith can provide further insights and support, making you feel less alone in your journey. In the Christian faith, discernment plays a vital role in understanding divine guidance. By seeking the right environment—whether it’s nature, your home, or a place of worship—you may find clarity in your prayers. Sharing experiences with fellow believers can also open new perspectives on how to interpret what God is communicating. Always remember, even amid personal turmoil, God is present and guiding you towards growth and healing.
