Roasted Almonds at Home
Today is about snacks! I enjoy creating in my kitchen and sharing what I’ve done with the world. Almonds are a quality snack that provide an array of benefits to our overall health like: ability to lower cholesterol and blood sugar. They also are great for a quick protein pick-me-up and are loaded with antioxidants like Vitamin E; which protects against cell damage! Not to mention, when roasted and seasoned they are so yummy. 😋
Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups Almonds
2 tbsp Hot Water
2 tbsp preferred seasoning
2 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions:
Prepar a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat and Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl combine the hot water and your seasoning (if using salt; attempt to dissolve). In a large steel mixing bowl, place almonds. (It’s important to use steel or ceramic because hot almonds will go back into the bowl!) Pour the water/seasoned liquid onto the almonds and stir completely to coat. Spread the almonds into one single layer on the baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 8 minutes, then stir halfway and bake another 8 minutes. Immediately remove baking sheet and pour back into the steel bowl. CAUTION: HOT ♨️ Pour the olive oil over the top of the almonds and toss almonds until completely coated. Add more seasoning and toss. Let cool and EAT!
