New Casabrew Espresso machine! ✨

I got the new Casabrew espresso machine! 😍 I originally had the Nespresso machine, but the pods were getting a little too expensive for my liking. Invested in this one (actually got this one brand new on eBay - $85!)

I have to say, iced coffee tastes soooo much better. No longer watered down and tastes just like from a coffee shop. I recommend investing in one or looking on eBay or Facebook marketplace for one! Lots of buy now, pay later options too. 💓🎉🥰☕️

... Read moreWhen I posted about my new Casabrew espresso machine, I got so many questions about why I made the switch and how I make my iced coffee taste so good! I totally get it – good coffee at home can feel like a luxury, but it doesn't have to break the bank. Let me share a few more tips and insights from my personal journey. First off, many of you asked about cold brew makers. While cold brew is fantastic, for that true coffee shop iced latte or shaken espresso experience, a proper espresso machine like my Casabrew CM5418 is a game-changer. Cold brew gives you a concentrated coffee, but espresso provides that rich, intense shot that truly cuts through milk and syrup without tasting watery. That's why my iced shaken espresso now tastes incredible, unlike before when using Nespresso pods often left my drinks feeling diluted as the ice melted. Speaking of saving money, finding a great deal on your machine is key! I snagged my Casabrew CM5418 brand new on eBay for just $85, which was an absolute steal. Don't be afraid to check out secondhand markets like eBay or Facebook Marketplace. So many people upgrade or sell machines they barely used. Just make sure to check seller reviews and ask for videos of it working if possible. You can find high-quality machines at a fraction of the retail price, making that initial investment much more manageable. Plus, with the money you save on daily coffee runs, it pays for itself pretty quickly! Now for the secret to my coffee shop-quality iced shaken espresso, inspired by what you saw in the picture! It’s all about the layers and ingredients. I start with 2 shots of espresso made from Lavazza super crema beans – they have such a smooth, rich flavor. Then, I add about 1-2 pumps of vanilla syrup to my glass. Fill it with ice, usually up to the brim of a mason jar, then pour in about 4-6oz of Fairlife milk. The key is to shake it! I use a mason jar with a lid and give it a good shake for about 15-20 seconds. This creates that lovely foam layer on top and blends everything perfectly. It’s simple, but those specific ingredients and the shaking technique make all the difference. Beyond iced drinks, having an espresso machine opens up a world of possibilities. I’ve started experimenting with cappuccinos, lattes, and even just simple Americanos. It’s like having a mini barista station right in my kitchen! And for maintenance, I’ve found that a quick rinse of the steam wand after each use and a weekly descale (depending on your water hardness) keeps the Casabrew CM5418 running smoothly. These machines are surprisingly easy to care for, ensuring you get delicious coffee for years to come without the ongoing expense of pods. Invest in yourself and your coffee routine – you won't regret it!
