As a new month begins, I’m not praying for a perfect life.
I’m praying for a heart that looks more like Jesus. 🕊️
🌷 I want to hunger for God’s Word more than the opinions of this world.
📖 I want wisdom before making decisions.
🤍 I want to walk by the Spirit instead of my feelings.
🌱 I want to stay faithful in the ordinary moments that no one else sees.
🌸 I want to bear fruit that points people to Christ.
✨ I want my faith to remain steady, even when life feels uncertain.
💕 Most of all, I want my love for God to grow deeper every single day.
Because the greatest blessing isn’t getting everything I ask for…
It’s becoming more like the One who saved me. ✝️💖
📖 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him… For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.” — Romans 8:28–29
As we step into August, my prayer isn’t just for a better month…
It’s for a better heart. 🌷
If this is your prayer too, comment “Amen” below. I’d love to pray for you. 🙏🤍✨
... Read moreStarting a new month often inspires us to reflect on personal growth and spiritual renewal. This August, my prayer focuses not on life’s perfection but on shaping a heart more like Jesus, echoing Biblical wisdom that encourages believers to seek God’s guidance daily.
One area I’ve found particularly meaningful is craving God’s Word above worldly opinions, as the OCR highlights from Job 23:12, which reminds us that focusing on scripture nourishes the spirit more than fleeting thoughts. This hunger creates a foundation for wisdom, essential before making decisions, reflecting James 1:5’s promise of divine guidance.
Walking by the Spirit rather than feelings (Galatians 5:16) is another profound challenge and blessing. It invites us to practice faithfulness not just in grand moments but in unseen, ordinary times, which Luke 16:10 calls faithful stewardship. These daily faithfulness seeds fruit that glorifies God, as John 15:5 emphasizes the importance of abiding in Christ.
Faith can often feel shaky amid life’s uncertainties, but holding on to the truth of Romans 8:28-29 reassures us that God works all things for good and shapes us to be like Jesus. This steady faith, nurtured through prayer and Scripture, deepens our love for God, the greatest blessing anyone can receive.
In my personal experience, regularly praying for a heart that reflects Jesus has transformed how I face challenges and make choices. It’s less about perfection and more about perseverance and openness to spiritual growth. Engaging with a community that shares this prayer has brought encouragement and a sense of shared journey, enhancing my walk with Christ.
If you share this desire for a better heart this August, I encourage you to embrace these prayers and Scripture reflections. Let’s grow together in faith, wisdom, and love, trusting that God’s work in us is the most beautiful transformation we can experience.
