🍂👀 CLOSE TO YOU DOESN’T MEAN FOR YOU 👀🍂

Judas walked with Jesus. 🚶‍♂️ He shared meals with Him. 🍞 He even greeted Him with a kiss. 💋 That’s what makes betrayal hurt so much: sometimes it comes from someone you trusted. 💔😔

📖 “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” — Luke 22:48 NIV ✝️

Maybe you’ve had a friend who cheered for you in public 👏 but shared your private business later. 📱🤐 Or someone who said, “I’m here for you,” then vanished when life got hard. 🫥💭

Ask God for discernment. 🙏🕊️ Notice the patterns. 👀 Give trust time to grow. 🌱 Let actions speak alongside words. 💬🤎

You can love people, pray for them, and still be careful about who gets close to your heart. 🫶🔐✨

... Read moreReflecting on the story of Judas, it’s clear that not all those who appear close to us have genuine intentions. In my personal journey, I've learned that proximity does not always equal loyalty or trustworthiness. For instance, I once considered a coworker a close friend because we shared lunches and personal conversations. However, over time, I noticed that some things I shared privately were becoming public knowledge. This experience highlighted the importance of godly discernment—not just relying on words or appearances but watching for consistent actions over time. Discernment is a gift that requires practice and prayer. I found that asking for guidance daily helped me better recognize who truly cared and who was simply around for convenience or benefit. It’s also crucial to observe patterns in behavior—not just isolated incidents. Someone who disappears during tough times may publicly support you but lack the heart to stand by you. Another lesson I’ve embraced is that it’s okay to love and pray for people, yet still keep boundaries to protect your emotional well-being. Guarding your heart doesn’t mean shutting people out; it means loving wisely and allowing trust to grow through proven faithfulness. The phrase, "Judas looked like a friend, moved like a snake, and kissed like he cared," serves as a strong reminder. False friends may appear kind and close but can cause deep wounds. My experiences taught me to give myself grace when learning to discern and to seek God’s wisdom continually. Building authentic friendships takes time and honest communication. It’s empowering to know that with God’s help, we can nurture relationships grounded in truth, faith, and mutual respect. Above all, protecting your heart is a spiritual act of self-care that honors God’s design for healthy community and love.

A text graphic titled 'INTENTIONAL CLOSURE SUNDAY' on a light background. It discusses year-end reflection, emphasizing that closure is alignment and strength, not loss. The text encourages pausing to close emotional, mental, and energetic chapters, letting go of what no longer serves to move forward lighter. It includes a call to comment 'CLOSED'.

Closure isn’t about erasing the past — it’s about deciding what no longer gets access to your future. As this year comes to an end, give yourself permission to pause instead of pushing forward without reflection. Some chapters served their purpose. Some taught you lessons you needed. Some simp
