Yup! You read that right!Maine has a longer coastline than California! The “tide” coastline, which includes all the inlets and bays in Maine, measures 3,478 miles!

This massive coastline is home to many gorgeous beaches! While there are endless options both rocky and sandy, some of the sandy beaches I recommend are;

- York Beach - huge beach with great restaurants and shops nearby

- Pine Point - relaxing and quiet with a small snack shack

- Old Orchard Beach - has tons of great entertainment options including a small theme park with amusement rides

- Sand Beach - located inside the world famous Acadia National Park

- Ogunquit Beach - cozy coastal town with lots of hotels and local shopping options

- Gooch's Beach - beautiful and relaxing cove on a residential street with food, hotels and shopping just up the road
