Exploring the largest city in New England! 🏙️

Boston is the biggest city in New England! There are endless things to do, restaurants to try, and events to attend!

With so many beautiful and unique neighborhoods to explore, it’s hard to pick just one! So here are some of my favorites;

- Downtown : a great central area to book your stay!

- Seaport : a newer district in Boston with lots of fun bars and activities🍸

- North End : known for restaurants and Italian food 🍝

- Back Bay : Great shopping on Newbury Street 🛍️

- Beacon Hill : Home to the Boston Common public park 🍃

& more!

If you’re a sports fan, I recommend grabbing tickets to see a game! Depending on the time of year you visit, the Celtics, Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox play here! Ticket prices vary.

Boston
2024/11/25 Edited to

... Read moreMy trip to Boston was absolutely unforgettable, and I totally get why it's New England's biggest and most vibrant city! Beyond the basic must-sees, I discovered so many hidden gems and practical tips I wish I’d known earlier. It’s not just about ticking off landmarks; it’s about soaking in the unique atmosphere of each district. For instance, the North End isn't just about Italian food – it's an experience. I spent an entire afternoon just wandering the narrow streets, popping into charming little shops. And you absolutely have to try the cannolis! There are a couple of famous bakeries, but honestly, every single one I tried was delicious. It felt like stepping into a different world with the aroma of fresh pasta and pastries filling the air. Then there's the Seaport, which blew me away with its modern energy. It's transformed so much! Picture vibrant rooftop bars with incredible harbor views and innovative restaurants perfect for a night out. During the day, I loved strolling along the waterfront and just watching the boats. It's a fantastic contrast to the historic parts of the city. Beacon Hill left me completely charmed with its gas lamps and cobblestone streets – it’s like stepping onto a movie set! I spent hours just admiring the beautiful architecture and imagining what life was like centuries ago. Right next door, Back Bay offers a different kind of charm with its elegant brownstones and the fantastic shopping on Newbury Street. I found some unique boutiques there that I'm still dreaming about. Beyond these beautiful neighborhoods, Boston offers so much history. I highly recommend walking at least part of the Freedom Trail. It’s an amazing way to connect with the city's past and see iconic spots like Faneuil Hall. And don't forget to look up – the Custom House Tower is such a distinctive part of the skyline, almost like a beacon guiding you through the city's history. For sports fans, as mentioned, catching a game is phenomenal, but even if you're not, the atmosphere around game days is electric. I also found that Boston has an incredible arts and culture scene. The Museum of Fine Arts is world-class, and exploring the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum felt like discovering a hidden palace! Getting around Boston is surprisingly easy. While the 'T' (subway system) is great, I found that walking is often the best way to really experience the city's charm, especially in areas like Beacon Hill and the North End. You’ll stumble upon so many delightful cafes and small parks that you’d otherwise miss. Also, keep an eye out for the vibrant student life; you might spot a 'Tufts University sticker' on a car, reminding you of the energetic college presence that adds another layer to the city's character. My top tip for visiting Boston? Don't try to cram too much into one day. Pick a neighborhood or two and really immerse yourself. Whether it’s enjoying a delicious bowl of clam chowder by the harbor or catching a breathtaking sunset over the city, Boston truly has something for everyone. It truly feels like a city where history meets innovation at every turn.
