Ranked the #2 Christmas town in all of America!🎄

HGTV just released their 2024 list for the top 10 Christmas towns in the US! A small coastal town in New England earned itself 2nd place on that list 🎄🦞

Kennebunkport in Maine always goes all out for the holiday season! Almost every building in town participates transforming the scene into what feels like a holiday hallmark movie!

Enjoy the festive holiday vibes, beautiful decor, local shopping, and delicious seafood restaurants! Maine is know for its seafood, especially the lobster!🦞

One of my favorite restaurants to visit during the holidays is Batson River Brewing & Distilling - Kennebunk! See their decor in the 4th & 5th photos!🎄

Kennebunkport is worth a day trip, or a weekend visit this winter season!

It's not just a town; it transforms into a living, breathing holiday wonderland. If you're looking for that quintessential New England Christmas charm, this is your spot. Beyond the beautiful storefronts and the delicious lobster (which is a must-try!), what truly captivated me was the atmosphere, especially as evening falls. The whole town lights up, creating a breathtaking display that really gets you into the festive spirit. Every building, from quaint inns to local boutiques, adorns itself with twinkling lights, garlands, and bows. It’s not just a few decorations here and there; it’s an immersive experience where every corner you turn offers another picture-perfect moment. The large outdoor Christmas tree, often located in a central spot, becomes a beacon of holiday cheer, its lights shimmering against the winter sky. One of my favorite things to do was simply stroll through Dock Square. During the day, it's bustling with shoppers hunting for unique gifts and local treasures. I popped into Dock Square Coffee House for a warm drink, which was the perfect companion for a chilly, yet festive, afternoon. But the real magic happens after sunset. The streetlights and shop windows glow, and the entire area twinkles with thousands of fairy lights. It truly feels like a scene from a movie, and you might even catch carolers spreading cheer or see a classic vintage truck, like the one I spotted at Batson River Brewing & Distilling, decked out in festive lights and overflowing with gift boxes. It makes you want to snuggle up with a blanket and enjoy the crisp Maine air. Kennebunkport doesn't just offer sights; it offers experiences. Many local businesses, like Batson River, go all out with their interior decorations too, making every dining or drinking experience feel extra special. The air is filled with the scent of pine and sometimes, that unique 'Maine-ly Drizzle' adds to the cozy, atmospheric vibe. Whether you're planning a quick day trip or a relaxing weekend visit, make sure to carve out time to see the town at night. The way the lights reflect off the snow (if you're lucky!) or simply illuminate the charming architecture is something you won't soon forget. It’s more than just decor; it’s the heart of Christmas, alive and sparkling in Kennebunkport.
