The happiest island in the Caribbean🦩🏝️

Aruba is nicknamed “One Happy Island!” and for a good reason! It’s a popular tropical destination for all ages!

The white sand beaches, warm tropical ocean water, great food and endless entertainment make this little island the perfect winter trip destination! Escape the cold weather with an Aruba vacation!

Things to do:

- Spend the day (or a few days) at Eagle Beach! Eagle beach has been rated as one of the best beaches in the WORLD 🌎!!

- Climb the California Lighthouse! It’s only $5 to climb to the top and the views of the island are spectacular! ⛵️

- Admire the tropical wildlife! All kinds of lizards, iguanas, tropical fish and other animals roam freely in Aruba! My personal favorite animal experience is taking a day trip to the famous Flamingo Beach! 🦩 If you stay at the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort admission to the hotels private island is free! For non-hotel guests, admission to the island for the day is $125 per person!

Pro tip: be sure to checkout the Palm beach high rise hotel strip for nightlife, great restaurants, and casino entertainment! 🏝️

... Read moreMy trip to Aruba really cemented its nickname as 'One Happy Island' for me – and I totally get why! It’s not just the sunshine and stunning beaches; there’s a genuine warmth from the people and a laid-back vibe that just melts away stress. When you land, you immediately feel welcome, and that friendly atmosphere permeates everything, making it an incredibly safe and enjoyable destination for solo travelers, couples, or families. Beyond the famous Eagle Beach, which truly lives up to its 'best beach in the world' reputation with its pristine white sand and calm, turquoise waters perfect for a sunny day, I discovered other gems. Palm Beach, for instance, mentioned in the original article for its nightlife, is also fantastic during the day for water sports like parasailing or jet-skiing, right alongside those high-rise resorts. For something a little different, head south to Baby Beach, where the shallow waters are ideal for snorkeling, especially if you're traveling with kids or are new to snorkeling – you can spot some incredible colorful fish just a few feet from shore! And let's talk about the food! While the original article hints at great restaurants, Aruba's culinary scene is surprisingly diverse. Beyond fresh seafood at places lining the Palm Beach strip, seek out some local flavors. Try a traditional keshi yena (stuffed cheese dish) or a hearty stobá (stew). For a casual, beachy vibe that might even touch on that 'Happy Island Beach Bar and Grill' query, many beachfront spots offer delicious cocktails and fresh catches with your toes in the sand as the sun sets. It’s an experience you can’t miss! My personal 'things to do in Aruba' list expanded far beyond what I initially planned. After climbing the California Lighthouse for those breathtaking island views (seriously, only $5 for that panorama!), I rented an ATV to explore the rugged north coast. Arikok National Park is a must-see, offering natural bridges, caves, and even natural pools, showcasing a completely different side of Aruba's landscape. It really makes you appreciate the island's diverse beauty. It's a great way to 'checkout the wildlife' beyond just the iguanas. Regarding the wildlife, seeing iguanas everywhere was definitely a highlight! They're so common but utterly fascinating. My tip for encountering them, and any other creatures like the vibrant tropical birds, is to observe respectfully and from a distance. And yes, the Flamingo Beach experience was surreal – feeding those elegant birds at the Renaissance private island was truly a unique photo opportunity and well worth the visit, especially if you're staying at the resort and get free admission. It felt like stepping into a postcard! For practical tips, getting around is easy. Rental cars or ATVs give you the freedom to explore at your own pace, or you can rely on taxis and public buses for shorter trips. Don't forget reef-safe sunscreen, a good hat, and plenty of water, especially if you're planning adventurous days. Aruba really does offer that perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it an unforgettable tropical escape. It truly is a 'MINI TRAVEL GUIDE' to happiness!
