If Aruba isn’t already on your list of places to visit, you need to add it! It’s one of the most relaxing, beautiful and safest Caribbean islands I’ve ever been too!
Where to stay:Eagle Aruba Resort - this resort is the perfect central location and has great rooms. Plus it has a pool with a water slide and a water fall!
What beach to visit:Eagle Beach - one of the most beautiful beaches in Aruba where you can rent a beach cabana and swim with tropical fish!
Where to eat: Azzurro Restorante Italiano - this Italian restaurant has incredible sunset views over the ocean and great Italian food!

Okay, so I raved about Aruba being one of the most beautiful and safest Caribbean islands, and I truly meant it! But let me tell you a bit more about why it captured my heart and what else you absolutely need to experience beyond just the stunning Eagle Beach. First off, the scenery here is just incredible. Yes, you have those postcard-perfect white sand beaches and that vibrant turquoise ocean that you just want to dive into. But Aruba offers so much more visually. Take a drive to Arikok National Park, and you'll be transported to a completely different landscape – rugged desert, cacti, and dramatic coastline with natural bridges and pools. It's a fantastic contrast to the calm beaches and really shows off the island's diverse natural beauty. I loved seeing the iconic Divi-Divi trees, always pointing southwest due to the constant trade winds – they make for such unique photo opportunities! Speaking of beaches, while Eagle Beach is a must-visit for its serene vibe and cabanas, don't miss out on Palm Beach if you're looking for more action with watersports and beachfront bars. Or, for a super relaxed, shallow water experience, head south to Baby Beach – perfect for snorkeling novices like me! You can literally walk out quite a distance and still be in waist-deep, crystal clear water, spotting so many colorful fish. For those wondering about the "relaxing" and "safe" aspects I mentioned from my airplane window view, Aruba truly lives up to it. I felt incredibly secure exploring different parts of the island, and the locals are genuinely friendly and welcoming. It contributes so much to that overall feeling of being able to truly unwind. There’s a wonderful sense of calm, whether you’re lounging by the pool at Eagle Aruba Resort, or just walking along the shore at sunset. Beyond sunbathing, I highly recommend getting out on the water. A catamaran cruise for snorkeling often takes you to wrecks and reefs teeming with marine life – a truly unforgettable experience. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, try paddleboarding or kayaking. And for foodies, while Azzurro Ristorante Italiano was amazing for dinner, make sure to try some local Aruban cuisine! Keep an eye out for "keshi yena" (a stuffed cheese dish) or fresh seafood at a local "snack" (small restaurant). The cultural blend here makes for some really interesting flavors. Overall, Aruba isn't just a place to visit; it’s an experience. Its beautiful scenery, combined with the feeling of safety and the endless opportunities for relaxation and adventure, truly makes it a top-tier Caribbean destination in my book. You can easily fill an entire aruba itinerary with diverse activities, from exploring the natural wonders to just soaking up the sun.

I’ve heard so many amazing things about this place!!!
