3 amazing Christmas towns you need to visit in Maine are Freeport, Kennebunkport and Portland!

Freeport has great shopping and is known for their all our Christmas decor! The flagship store of the major outdoor retailer L.L Bean is located here! They always have the most beautiful lights and Christmas activities! A few times during the holiday season Santa comes to visit with his reindeer which is a great activity for all ages!

Kennebunkport was recently named the number 2 Christmas town in all of America! This small ocean town doesn’t hold back with the holiday spirit! Almost every business in town participates by decorating for the holidays! Walking around here feels like walking around a holiday hallmark movie set! Perfect for a girls night, date night or weekend trip!

Portland is Maine’s largest city and even though summer is peak tourist season, there’s so much to see and do even during the winter months! Batson River Brewing & Distilling closes for 3 days to decorate for Christmas and I’d say this restaurant is a must visit for both travelers and locals during the month of December! There’s even a polar express themed train ride downtown!
