Switzerland travel tips 🏔️
Fun fact: Switzerland was the first country I visited in Europe! Another fun fact: Switzerland is the most expensive country to live in, in the world! We didn’t know this before traveling here!
Here are some tips to keep in mind when planning your Switzerland vacation!
1. Get the Swiss travel pass, it’s so worth it! Even though it’s expensive starting at $298 per person, if you’re planning on traveling to multiple cities this pass will save you money! The Swiss travel pass allows unlimited access to all of Switzerlands public trains, buses and ferries! We used our pass multiple times per day!
2. See as many cities as possible! While still enjoying each one! Switzerland is about the same size as Vermont and New Hampshire combined! If you’re spending multiple days here you’ll have plenty of time to see lots of beautiful and different cities/towns!
3. Pack layers! Due to the country’s elevation differences and the Swiss Alps the temperatures in Switzerland can fluctuate! On top of the mountains we were bundled in our winter clothes! But at the bottom of the mountains valleys in cities like Lucerne there was one day we had t-shirts on because of the warm sun in March!
