Why Italy is the perfect place to spend summer!🍋

There’s so much to do in Italy! Year round this is a great country to visit but it’s even better during the summer — in my opinion!

I love shopping around whenever I’m it Italy, there’s great shops in every Italian city/town to checkout! CB in Positano has gone viral for having the cutest bags!

Dining with a rooftop view is amazing all the time, but especially in Italy! Oro Bistrot in Rome is the perfect place to watch sunset and have a great meal!

In the summer you can’t go to Italy without taking a trip to coast and spending a day swimming in the ocean and relaxing on the beautiful beaches! The Amalfi Coast is the perfect spot to soak up the sun!☀️

... Read moreYou know how some places just stick with you? For me, during my glorious summer trip to Italy, that place was absolutely Oro Bistrot in Rome. Seriously, if you're planning a visit to the Eternal City, you have to put their rooftop experience on your list. I had seen photos of that iconic rooftop view of Rome at sunset, featuring historic buildings and a magnificent dome, but nothing prepared me for the real thing. Stepping out onto that terrace was like walking into a postcard. The air was warm, a gentle breeze was blowing, and as the sun began its descent, the sky turned into a canvas of oranges, pinks, and deep purples. From my table, nestled near a charming balcony adorned with a planter of vibrant pink flowers, I had a panoramic vista of the city's ancient rooftops and domes stretching out before me. It wasn't just a meal; it was an entire performance by nature, with Rome as its breathtaking stage. The ambiance was simply electric, with a sophisticated yet relaxed hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses. The atmosphere itself was sophisticated yet relaxed, perfect for a special evening. And the food? Oh, the food! I opted for some fresh pasta, a classic choice, and it was simply exquisite – perfectly al dente, with rich, authentic flavors that tasted like pure Italian sunshine. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, showcasing the best of Roman culinary traditions with a modern twist. I also tried a starter that featured local cheeses and cured meats, which was a delightful way to begin the meal. Paired with a lovely local wine, recommended by our knowledgeable server, it was truly a feast for all the senses. The service was impeccable too, attentive without being intrusive, making the whole experience feel exclusive and utterly pampered. It felt like a true taste of la dolce vita. I remember thinking, as the last golden rays illuminated the city, that this was Rome at its absolute best. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of sightseeing, visiting the Colosseum, the Vatican, or the Trevi Fountain, but taking an evening like this to simply relax, indulge, and soak in the beauty from above gives you a whole new perspective. It’s moments like these that make you fall completely in love with Italy and appreciate its unique charm. If you’re thinking of going, a little tip from my own experience: definitely book in advance, especially if you're aiming for that magical sunset slot. Request a table by the edge if you can! While it’s a bit of a splurge, it’s worth every penny for the memories you’ll make. It’s an ideal spot for a romantic dinner, a celebratory evening, or just treating yourself to an unforgettable moment. It truly elevated my summer trip, adding a layer of luxury and beauty that I hadn't quite anticipated. Don’t miss this gem when you're exploring the wonders of Rome!
